Netball HistoryAs you know netball can be very similar to basketball ball in many different ways, that's because netball originated from basketball but was changed to be more feminine and friendly. In 1901 the first official set of netball rules were brought in and gradually came into existence within the country. Ever since then netball had been navigating its way to many other countries that started making their own rules for netball.
When netball first came to Australia and New Zealand "netball" had originally been developed before 1901 but was named "women's basketball." In the year 1970 Australia and New Zealand changed "women's basketball" to "Netball." |
